Trimming – each homeowner is responsible for appropriate trimming of the trees on their lot and ARC approval is necessary.
Removal – written ARC approval is needed for removal of any tree that has a diameter of 4 inches or more measured at two feet above ground level. In general, the ARC only approves removal of “dead” trees, “dangerous” trees (overgrown or too near a foundation), or “nuisance” trees (e.g. – thorny locust).
New Tree Plantings – written ARC approval is needed for all new tree plantings. In deciding where to place a proposed new tree, please note that the ARC routinely requires that the drip line of the fully-mature tree be within your lot lines.
