Residents and their furry friends joined the Pool Committee for a fun "dog swim" after the Community Center Pool was officially closed for humans. It was a fun last hurrah for summer for these dogs, as you can see in the photos below.
Residents were asked to bring $5 for their dog admission.
The first 30 minutes 5:30-6pm were reserved for the "little guys" that have issues with the big dogs. The rest of the evening, from 6-7:30p, there were no restrictions on dog size.
Proceeds were donated to Heart of America Humane Society, the rescue group associated with the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter.
